What do the baseline assessments entail?
Before you commence a funded course, it is important to understand your current level in maths and English, as well as any issues or concerns that you may have that could hinder your progress on the course.
After your information, advice and guidance call with LMP, they will send you an email that contains:
- An application form
- instructions on how to complete the maths and English baseline assessment
- instructions on how to complete the self-skills assessment
The baseline assessments are:
- a mandatory part of the onboarding process
- a supportive measure that will allow a tutor to assess your maths and English skill set and to embed competencies into your apprenticeship that will support your growth in these area
- an opportunity to self assess your current competencies, skills and behaviours against those required of the apprenticeship
- not a barrier to accessing the apprenticeship - they are flexible and designed to support your professional growth
- short, taking on average 20 minutes to complete
