What to expect from an information, advice and guidance call
Now that you have registered your interest in completing an apprenticeship, your information will be passed to LMP who will contact you to progress your application. The purpose of an information, advice and guidance call with LMP is to ensure that you are eligible to complete the course that you are interested in, and that it is the right course for your aspirations and development.
What will I be asked?
You will be asked to give LMP your:
- Full name
- Email address(es)
- Home address and postcode
- Date of birth
This will allow them to complete a Personal Learning Record check(PLR) for you, this is a record of what learning you have done previously and the level of education that you currently hold.
You will be asked:
- whether you have lived in the EU/UK for 3 years or more
- whether you have maths and/or English GCSEs at grade A-C / 4-9 or maths and/or English Functional Skills Level 2 and you may be asked to provide evidence of this (please note that grading requirements can differ and will be discussed with the provider)
- your working pattern and contractual hours
- about any other qualifications you hold
- the reasons that you have applied for the course
- what your career goals are
- how your current role meets the standards, behaviours and skills required of the apprenticeship
The call will brief you on
LMP will provide information to you during the call, they will discuss:
- course content and duration highlighting the knowledge, skills and behaviours associated with the course that will be evaluated as part of the course
- smart Assessor - the online platform where your skills, knowledge and behaviours are stored and can be securely accessed by assessors and tutors
- value added courses that can be undertaken once enrolled onto the apprenticeship free of charge to enhance learning and development
- what the 20% off the job training looks like and how you could evidence this
- the enrolment process - including Initial Assessments and self-skills scan
