Early Career Framework - Mentor Programme

We are proud to deliver the Early Career Framework in partnership with our delivery partner, Ambition Institute alongside Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust and Beckfoot Trust. To read about how we work in partnership for the Early Career Framework, click here.

What are the programme benefits?

Mentors play an important role in the Early Career Framework (ECF) and are pivotal in early career teachers being successful, both on the programme and in the profession. To support mentors in developing their own skills, they will undertake learning alongside their mentee around assessing teacher progress, providing effective feedback, using deliberate practice to accelerate progress, and how to provide further challenge to high-performing early career teachers.

Who is this programme suitable for?

This programme is for Dixons teaching staff beyond the first two years of their career who want to:

  • play an important role in supporting the development and wellbeing of new teachers
  • create an environment for mentees to grow and develop their personal and professional goals
  • share their passion around teaching with novice teachers
  • use instructional coaching as a powerful tool for helping new teachers to get better at their job
