Tahmina Jahan

School and college trust leader

Tahmina joined Dixons in May 2022 to develop and deliver the communications strategy for our trust and its schools. Tahmina is passionate about working closely with stakeholders to craft messaging, deliver campaigns and drive real value through communications and engagement work.

Tahmina has several years’ experience working as a strategic communications specialist for cross-sector businesses which include big tech companies, recruiters and non-profit organisations, where she has successfully delivered large scale communications campaigns across the full mix of internal and external communications, focusing in particular on digital, content and stakeholder engagement. Many of these were first-in-seat roles, where Tahmina shaped and delivered the entire strategy.

Tahmina believes strongly that exceptional education should be given to everyone and not just those who can afford it. She is particularly interested in supporting young people from low socio-economic backgrounds and has spent many years volunteering with children; this includes as a voluntary youth worker in deprived areas of Leeds and North London, and more recently, with refugee children in Sydney, Australia, where she lived for almost four years.

Tahmina is also committed to supporting the development of globally responsible future leaders through her work as a fellow at The Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative (GRLI) where she consults on marketing and communications.
