Amanda Bailey

Programme Director

Amanda started her career working for a number of commercial organisations including Marks and Spencer, United Utilities and PricewaterhouseCoopers initially in HR and then training as an accountant.

In 2006, she fulfilled a lifelong ambition, retraining as a teacher of science and then joining the Future Leaders Programme in 2008. Amanda worked in a number of schools across the North West as a senior school leader and ran an aspirational work experience programme for disadvantaged young people in Manchester based on a model first seen in the USA. She is a firm believer that all children should reach their potential regardless of background.

Since 2012, Amanda has combined her skills and experience to lead on operations and finance within the academy movement initially for Bright Futures Educational Trust and most recently for Star Academies before joining Dixons in August 2021.

Amanda has a passion for professional development and is an accredited coach. She has a strong desire for all staff to enjoy fulfilling careers through engagement in lifelong learning.

In October 2023, Amanda moved away from her deputy role to take on a part time programme director role working on our business transformation project.
