Alistair Burg-Broquere
Executive Director: Estates and Capital
Alistair is a chartered surveyor with over 20 years' senior experience across large, complex ‘campus’ and multi-site operational estates in the public sector: local government, the NHS and, most recently, in higher education. As director of estates at two universities, he is used to working closely with senior academic colleagues to meet fast evolving teaching and learning needs.
Alistair joined Dixons in October 2023 from a university with a significant focus on widening participation of students from many backgrounds.
Having previously lived in Yorkshire, with roles in Bradford and Doncaster, he now lives in Lancashire and so is ideally located to lead our estate across both the North West and Yorkshire.
Alistair has a strong belief and interest in developing and managing educational buildings and related facilities to provide the best possible, inspiring and aspirational learning environments for students. He also sees school buildings and the estates' facilities within them ‘beyond the classroom’, such as catering and sports provision, as key enablers for wider community engagement and benefits which in turn make a real difference to our academies’ communities, students and staff.
