Smart - casual. If you would wear it to a training day, it is fine. If you are taking part in a particularly practical activity in the afternoon, you are able to attend the conference suitably dressed for this.
The conference will begin at 9.30 am and will finish at 3.00 pm.
Please bring a notepad and pen with you. You should also have your lanyard with you and wear it at all times.
For any afternoon activity you sign up to, please be mindful of the weather conditions if you are outside.
If you completed the survey form you should have your first or second choice of venue. We'd advise you to check with friends and colleagues if you would like to be at the same venue as we won't be able to accommodate changes to venues easily.
We will email everyone directly week commencing 20 January 2025 with their allocated venue. Please note, venues can only be changed in exceptional circumstances.
We are strongly encouraging staff to travel in cars with at least one other person to be economic and to relieve pressure on parking. We will be sharing full venue registers for you to be able to see who else is attending the same site as you. We will work directly with staff who have requested specific support.
In the morning of the conference, our school and college trust leaders will welcome and frame the theme of the day. This will be followed by a choice of sessions centred around joy. The afternoon of the conference is an opportunity to experience joy by connecting with others around a shared purpose. This may be by strengthening the connections in our local communities and some external organisations that work hard to support our families, or by coming together as Team Dixons to complete activities that foster a sense of fulfilment.
We will try to accommodate first choices for all sessions.
