Trust Conference 2024 FAQs
The conference is on Friday 9 February and will be held across several of our academies: Allerton, Brooklands, City, Cottingley, Fazakerley, Music Primary, Sixth Form, Trinity and Unity.
Smart - casual. If you would wear it to a training day, it is fine.
The conference will begin at 9.30am and finish at 2.40pm. There will be a welcome from our executive and two sessions: one in the morning and one after lunch. For the afternoon session you can pick from a number of options. There will be a networking lunch in between sessions with a choice of optional activities and the conference will close at 2.40pm.
Please bring a notepad and pen with you. You should also have you lanyard with you and wear it at all times.
If you completed the survey form you will have got your first or second choice.
We will email everyone directly early w/c 29 January with their allocated venue, giving the opportunity to change venue only in extenuating circumstances.
We are strongly encouraging staff to travel in cars with at least 1 other person to be economic and to relieve pressure on parking. We will be sharing full venue registers for you to be able to see who else is attending the same site as you. For staff who have requested support with access, we are making alternative arrangements.
We need your choices completed on the session choices survey by the end of Thursday 1 February. After this we will allocate people to workshops.
We are deliberately choosing to have flexible time at lunch to give us the opportunity to relax, network and have the choice to take part in one or two of a range of activities that will be shared at each venue. We want to offer a chance to connect and talk, either strengthening relationships you already have, or connecting with colleagues you haven’t met before, hopefully in a joyful and engaging way. Activities will include opportunities to compete or have fun with games and competitions and other activities generated by interests of volunteers from Team Dixons. It could be that you choose to be inspired or learn something new in music, poetry, art or language; take some time out in a mindful manner – or dip into a couple of options.
There is no compulsion to join in an activity if you would prefer not to, but we encourage all staff to get involved if possible. There will also be a room for staff who feel that they would rather take some time out during the busy day.
Yes, there will be signs around the academy and site hosts who will help direct you.

We would love all staff who want to attend to do so, so talk to your principal or functional lead about arranging to use the day as a KIT day and we will arrange to pay part time staff to support attendance.
