Simplyhealth Optimise Health Plan

As part of our commitment to the health and wellbeing of all staff at Dixons, we have just started an exciting new partnership with Simplyhealth who take over providing our employee assistance programme from 1 December. The programme provides employees with free confidential advice on a whole range of topics including financial, physical and emotional wellbeing, problems at work and problems at home.

In addition, we believe that costs shouldn’t be a barrier to good health for staff in our trust, so we are paying for all of our employees to be subscribed to Simplyhealth’s Optimise Health Plan at level one. As this is an employee benefit there will be a small amount of additional income tax to pay, around £10 a year for the average employee, but employees are free to ‘opt out’ of the cash health plan cover if they wish.

The Optimise Health Plan means that you can claim money back towards medical appointments and treatments ensuring you are able to look after your health and wellbeing when you need.

In addition to paying the premium for cover at level one, any member of staff can opt to pay an additional premium to upgrade to the higher levels, or an additional premium to add on their partner. In addition up to four children (under the age of 24) who normally reside at the same address can be added to the cover free of charge. We will enroll all staff, other than those that tell us they want to opt out completely by emailing our HR team before 22 December, at level one from 1 January 2024 with staff able to upgrade and add on partners or children by filling out a form in January.

Remember, if you want to opt out of cover you need to contact our trust HR team before 22 December 2023, or you will be automatically enrolled. Cover starts from 1 January with the option to upgrade from 1 February 2024.
