What are the session benefits?

These sessions will support your development as an agile leader, helping you to consider how to use and flex coaching models to support your coachees in getting better at their job, and also how to consider approaches to create a strong professional relationship with coachees to facilitate professional growth.

Who are these sessions suitable for?

This ssessions are suitable for Dixons coaches who want to:

  • develop and practice their coaching techniques to become a responsive coach
  • support our professional growth strategy at Dixons
  • define coaching in their role and context
  • look at processes to support coaching conversations: contracting, scaling and listening
  • explore and practice the key skills of coaching
  • plan how to make coaching happen

Session curriculum

Core 1 session:

  • contracting - making sure your coachee feels safe in the coaching space, focusing on boundaries, goals and your role as a coach
  • our commitment to coaching at Dixons, and why this is important
  • listening to interpret thought patterns and focus of your coachee
  • effective questioning to help coahees think for themselves
  • introduction to GROW - an effective coaching model

Core 2 session:

  • a deep dive into questioning techniques
  • strategies to speak less and listen more

What is the commitment?

Two half day sessions, attend both, or just Core 1
