Our accelerate programme for middle leaders from an ethnic minority background

Our accelerate programme for middle leaders from an ethnic minority background

  • Do you want to form powerful new networks and join other ethnic minority leaders in an inclusive and supportive space for honest and open dialogue?

  • Do you want to understand how to advocate for yourself and others in the workplace?

  • Do you want to be inspired by other ethnic minority leaders in our trust?

We know there is historic underrepresentation of ethnic minority leaders in the education sector. At Dixons, we are committed to changing this so that leadership teams across our trust are more representative of the communities we serve.

The accelerate programme for our middle leaders will be launched with an accelerate conference at our Centre for Growth. During the event, you’ll be able to hear from a diverse range of inspirational ethnic minority leaders, reflect on the impact of your lived experience in a safe space, and foster a powerful new peer network. You can find out more on our website, and register your interest in the conference below.

This peer network will extend beyond the conference with three additional asynchronous peer network meetings during the academic year. Dates for these conferences will be released once we have confirmation of our cohort size.

By signing up to the programme, you will be part of our Dixons accelerate network where you’ll have access to termly inspirational case studies, think pieces and research digests. You’ll also be able to contribute to the ED&I strategy by ensuring our principals and school and college trust leaders deepen their understanding of the lived experience of ethnic minority leaders and their intersectional identities.

This programme has the power to ensure everyone belongs. To be part of this change, register your interest in attending the accelerate conference here by Wednesday 2 April.

If you have any further questions about the programme, please contact Funmi Stewart, Trust Assistant Principal, ED&I and Anti Racism.
