Our primary poetry recital competition

As part of this year’s Dixons Cup competition, students from all our primary academies recently took part in an inspiring poetry recital contest, competing to earn valuable points for their academies. Students selected a poem they felt passionate about, dedicating time and effort to learn and perfect it for performance, a true test of confidence, memory, and expression.

We were blown away by the quality and enthusiasm of the entries from across our primary academies; the standard was incredibly high and the competition fierce! Each academy’s English lead carefully selected a winner from each key stage, and our English cross-cutting team had the very tough job of choosing the overall winners for each category.
