Honouring Remembrance Day across our trust

Posted 12th November 2025

Earlier this week, academies across our trust came together to mark Remembrance Day, a time to honour those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and reflect on the values of service, courage, and hope.

In the lead-up to the day, Year 7 and Year 9 students at Dixons Trinity Chapeltown Academy Year worked on their Poppy Island project, hand-crafting ceramic poppies for the annual remembrance display.

Dixons Fazakerley Academy students created poignant artwork through the Key Stage 3 art club and Year 7 history club, reflecting on the significance of Remembrance Day.

Dixons Croxteth Academy held its annual Remembrance Day service, a deeply meaningful tradition for the school community. Students wore family medals, and local community members joined families and students in paying their respects. Two Dixons Croxteth Academy students also represented the academy at the annual service at the Cenotaph at St George’s Hall, Liverpool, joining the parade and laying a wreath on behalf of the school.

Across our academies, students and staff reflected, learned, and paid tribute through assemblies, creative projects, and quiet moments of remembrance. Together, we remembered. Together, we gave thanks.
