Examination Results 2021

Posted 13th August 2021

Overall, we are pleased that none of the grades we submitted to the exam boards were changed at any of our academies. This is a testament to the incredible hard work, commitment and dedication of our students and staff, especially over the last few months.

A Level successes

Dixons Sixth Form Academy

  • Superb first ever results: +1.02 value added for Academic; +1.03 for Vocational
  • 83% of students secured a place at their first choice university; 40% to Russell Group
  • 10 students secured a place to study medicine, 3 will study dentistry and 3 earned a place at Oxford (these successes represent 6% of the cohort)

Dixons Allerton Academy

  • Continued strong performance: +0.83 value added for Academic; +0.62 for Vocational
  • 90% of students secured a place at their first choice university
  • 1 student secured a place to study medicine and a significant number of students will study pharmacy or another medicine related course

GCSE successes

  • Across our academies, results are slightly lower than 2020, but stronger than 2019
  • Our teacher assessed grades were robust and headline results are in line with what we would have expected to achieve had students sat external examinations
  • Strong results for disadvantaged students across our academies – bucking the national trend:
    • At Kings and McMillan, disadvantaged students made more progress than other students in the academy (and nationally in 2019)
    • At Allerton, City and Trinity, disadvantaged students made more progress than other students nationally in 2019
