Dixons Unity teacher wins NASUWT Union award

One of our colleagues, Kat Downs, Maths Teacher, Dixons Unity recently won a NASUWT Union award!
The award Kat won was for the 'Best Engagement with Under-represented groups', as a result of the campaign and activism work Kat has done around LGBTI issues, misogyny in schools, and issues faced by disabled and neurodivergent teachers.
Kat’s incredible campaign work included leading on equality issues that teachers face, raising awareness of ableism, delivering workshops to other teachers, speaking out about equality issues and supporting others to do similar work.
It’s incredible to see members of Team Dixons having such a positive impact on their communities and being recognised for their determination to influence change.
