Dixons Cottingley Academy hosts trust-wide cross country competition

Recently, Dixons Cottingley Academy hosted the annual trust-wide cross country competition as part of our Dixons Cup competition, welcoming students from schools across our trust.
The event was a fantastic showcase of resilience, determination and sportsmanship, with students competing across a range of challenging distances. From Year 7 runners tackling 1.5km to Years 10 and 11 completing a demanding 3km course, every participant demonstrated exceptional commitment and perseverance.
The day was made even more special by the supportive atmosphere throughout the event, with students and staff encouraging runners at every stage of the course. It was a brilliant celebration of community, healthy competition and student character.
Congratulations to Dixons Trinity Academy, who claimed overall victory with 575 points, closely followed by an impressive debut performance from Dixons Kings Academy, and Dixons Allerton Academy in third place.
A huge well done to every student who took part. Your dedication, effort and sportsmanship were a credit to your schools and our trust!
