Dixons Academies Trust featured in Inclusion in Practice case study

We’re proud to share that we have been featured in the Inclusion in Practice case study series, which highlights innovative approaches to SEND inclusion.

Our Mountain Rescue model, developed by Nicole Dempsey, our Director of SEND and Safeguarding, focuses on inclusive teaching for all students. Moving away from traditional SEND departments, the model uses integrated, multidisciplinary teams to ensure every child receives the support they need within the mainstream classroom.

This feature is a significant recognition of our commitment to inclusive education and to challenging social and educational disadvantage in the North. It celebrates the hard work and dedication of our staff in creating a mainstream environment where every student can succeed.
