We are excited to launch Humu at Dixons! As part of our management team, you have access to Humu via Teams to support you in coaching. This site contains further information and resources you may find helpful about Humu.
What is Humu?
Created by the inventors of people science at Google, Humu uses Nobel Prize-winning science to deliver scientifically-backed action recommendations in bite-sized nudges.
Humu pinpoints the most
important habits managers and employees can develop to improve performance,
both individually and as a team, and then delivers personalised nudges to
empower everyone to put those behaviours into practice day-to-day—right where
you’re already working.
Humu helps teams take action on what matters most, from making an organisation-wide impact, to moving forward your individual professional goals. And soon, Humu will be powering a personalised, virtual coaching experience for you on Teams!
Additionally, Humu provides tools to make it easier for you and your manager to stay on the same page about the day-to-day and focused on your personal development.
How does Humu work?
Humu will begin sending nudges —action-based recommendations that are backed by Nobel prize-winning science — to you via Teams. Taking action on nudges is proven to make it easier for teams to tackle new challenges by empowering individual members and helping everyone build better habits together! You'll be asked to fill out a short form on your preferences for focus areas, so that the nudges are tailored to you. You can use your Humu channel as your own - as a space to make notes on nudges or your actions around them!
What is a nudge?
Nudges are precise, personalised coaching moments that meet you where you are in your professional journey.
By showing up in your Team chat, nudges make it easy to continuously focus on professional development, without extra training or disrupting your normal daily routine. Your nudges are tied in to the priority areas you set yourself, so they should be tailored to your goals. They provide you with a concrete action / recommendation that you can do with a reason why you should do it and what the benefits are, backed up using research from academia and people science experts!
