Make way for Broadgreen's community hubDixons Broadgreen is creating space for a community hub. The start of this process will involve clearing, organising and obtaining a physical space in the building. If you are a dab hand at organsing and love a good clear out, please sign up to support this activity - you will have a real and positive impact on our children and their families.

The power of a community hub - Broadgreen brainstorm

The Broadgreen community hub needs to work for the communtiy it will serve. Do you have an excellent understanding of our students, their families and the challenges they face? We want to get your thoughts on what activity the community hub will offer. We want to explore the following questions in this session:

1. What will we call the community hub

2. What will we offer?

3. Who can we partner with?

Dixons Broadgreen Academy and vicinity litter pick: a happier, healthier, cleaner Liverpool

We want our staff, students and families to feel safe and have pride in where they live. Research suggests that litter is associated with higher rates of depression and anxiety within the community, that people tend to drop more litter when there is already rubbish on the ground, and that the presence of litter is associated with fear of crime and personal harm. Helping clear some of the litter surrounding our academy, alongside colleagues, is an opportunity to connect with others and keep active. Make a visible difference to our shared spaces.

NEESIE: facilitating prosperity

Reading can help you relax and unwind, broaden your understanding of the world, take you to different places, challenge you to think about different issues, and most importantly bring joy to your everyday life. Books bring people together. Through sharing your thoughts on a book, you’ll find yourself learning a lot about others, broadening your perspectives and getting to know your colleagues.

Come and swap a book with a colleague (don't worry you'll get it back) and share the joy of reading.
