Dixons Academies Trust must meet its statutory obligation to consult under Section 10 of the Academies Act 2010 (the Act) about our proposal to open Dixons Newall Green Academy.

Section 10 of the Act requires Dixons Academies Trust to consult with the local community on whether to enter into an arrangement with the Secretary of State to set up a new free school, starting with Year 7 and expanding each year.

We have therefore put together a consultation process in which the local stakeholders within Newall Green, and surrounding areas, are able to state their view on the proposal to open a new free school.

We have prepared a family handbook that contains essential information, a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) consultation document and an accompanying questionnaire that invites your opinion on our plan to open Dixons Newall Green Academy.
