Jack Tonks

Teacher of English & Trust Communications Champion

Jack began his career in the PR and communications industry, delivering publicity campaigns for some of the UK's most iconic commercial real estate assets such as Camden Market, Covent Garden's Seven Dials, The O2 and The King's Road in London.

After four years of writing press releases, feature stories, website and brochure copy, he redistributed those skills into the classroom by retraining as a teacher of English. Understanding the importance of closing the educational disadvantage gap, he embarked upon the Teach First training programme and was gratified to start his teaching journey within the Dixons Academies Trust.

Jack has carried his PR consultancy skills with him to manage Dixons Unity Academy's branding profile as a Trust Communications Champion, alongside his role within the English department there. He joined the Shadow Board in November 2022.
