Rachael Fidler

Principal, Dixons Broadgreen Academy

Rachael began her teaching career in Bolton teaching Spanish, French and German after running her own business and working in industry. She moved to Salford as head of languages where she and her team achieved above national average figures at every performance level in all languages before qualifying as an SLE in 2015, working to support modern foreign language (MFL) departments in Greater Manchester. Her work with the PTi has seen her support MFL departments nationwide to achieve a kitemark for quality in teaching which is an ongoing passion. In 2019, Rachael joined United Learning as a vice principal for student attainment and outcomes, having spent five years as an AVP in a similar role in Greater Manchester.

In 2021, Rachael joined Dixons Academies Trust as a principal designate to work on the academisation process to ensure a smooth transition for the Broadgreen community. Rachael was born in Liverpool, is proud to serve the city, and is determined to improve the life chances of students in her care so that they climb the mountain to university or a real alternative, thrive in a top job and live their best lives.
