Assistant Principal for Primary

Shahnaz began her career in education with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education from Bradford College. After qualifying, she taught in several primary schools across Bradford, where she led various subjects, including English, PSHCE and Science. In 2013, she completed the Postgraduate National SENDCo Award at Leeds Beckett University, which enabled her to take on a senior leadership role focused on SEND and Inclusion for several years.

Her commitment to supporting students extended internationally, volunteering in schools in Spain, Pakistan, and Gambia to support students from diverse backgrounds. In 2021, Shahnaz was appointed Trust Assistant Principal for Primary at Dixons Academies Trust. She has supported multiple primary schools with curriculum development, pedagogy, and professional development. Most recently, Shahnaz became the Lead Mentor for the Dixons Initial Teacher Training program. She is driven by a core belief that every student deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.
