Mike Crolla

Assistant Vice Principal, Dixons Centre for Growth

An undergraduate of French and Spanish at the University of Leeds, Mike has twenty years' experience in teaching and has been with Dixons since 2015. He has been Head of Languages and Senior Coaching Head of Department at Dixons Trinity Academy, co-launched A Level Spanish at Dixons Sixth Form Academy and been Trust Assistant Principal for Languages for Dixons Academies Trust.

Mike has been part of the Dixons Centre for Growth team since 2020 when he led the Initial Teacher Training programme as a maternity cover. Since then, he has led and worked on a wide variety of professional development programmes including the 'Early Career Framework', 'Dixons Middle Leaders' and 'Transition to Teach'. He is also an experienced instructional coach and delivers training on this.

Mike plays a significant role in our teacher training recruitment and interviews and delivers deliberate practice sessions and subject studies sessions for Spanish.
